Our Connecticut River Retreat is a 6-day camp out along the banks of the Upper Connecticut River in Bloomfield, Vermont.
The retreat is located on our 7 acre stream-side property directly on the banks of the Upper Connecticut River. This location is in close proximity to some of the best trout water available in the Northeast. The Upper CT River is a tail-water fishery, which means it stays cold all summer long and offers outstanding fishing opportunities with very little angling pressure.
Aside from the CT River, there are numerous smaller tributaries, ponds and lakes in the area to fish on both the Vermont and New Hampshire side of the river, so plenty of options for numerous species of fish!
This retreat is completely outdoors amidst a stunning New England landscape. Our property is an open meadow directly on the banks of the river. We have a large tent area for campers to set up any size tent they prefer and clean, portable bathrooms. We have a shower tent for hot showers and plenty of delicious fresh water.
Our chef will prepare 3 delicious meals each day and accommodate any dietary needs necessary, so the kids will be well fed!
Safety is paramount at all GMFFC camps and retreats. A full assortment of medical supplies are available at camp for minor injuries and the closest hospital, Upper Valley Connecticut Hospital, is 20 minutes from camp. All counselors are required to have CPR/First Aid certification, unblemished driving records and are subject to pre-employment background checks, so your child will have excellent supervision.
The dates of this retreat are August 4th – August 9th, 2019.
The cost of the retreat is $1095 and covers all meals, tent-site accommodations, local transportation and supervision.
